Kat Craig
Founder and CEO of Athlead
Kat is a human rights lawyer with over a decade of hands-on experience advising clients how to improve their lives and the lives of others, and another decade of strategic social change experience. She has won various awards for her work, and has been a charity director, trustee and consultant, advising on a range of issues including strategy, human resources, fundraising and communications.
Kat holds a postgraduate Executive Certificate in Sports Philanthropy from George Washington University and a first class Postgraduate Degree in Law. She regularly appears on national and international media, including BBC Breakfast, Channel 4 News, the Today programme and CNN and writes for various print outlets. In her spare time, Kat is the Director of Operations for Hackney Wick FC, a community-owned football club, and is a passionate but distinctly average left-back for the Tufnell Park Toucans, a women’s seven-a-side team in London.
Kat left the law to start Athlead because she believes that athletes have a unique power to change the world, and that the world is in desperate need of changing.
